Welcome to Mindful Mental and Behavioral Health PLLC

Starting therapy or searching for psychiatric medication management can feel confusing, even when you know what you’re looking for. We’re committed to making the process feel simpler, easier to understand, and tailored to what you need right now.

You’ll notice us listening closely, making room for the questions that matter to you, and inviting you to share your preferences as we get to know what’s shaped your experience. That’s how we can create a therapeutic relationship that leaves a lasting impact.

All you have to do is walk through the door. We’re here to greet you on the other side and be an ongoing resource through anything life has in store along the way. Our team handles the scheduling and logistics so you can fully focus on making yourself and your time the priority.

The Difference a Collaborative Approach to Care Can Make

Sometimes, finding the right mental health care can feel like you’re putting together a puzzle that’s missing pieces you need. There are so many ways support can look, and if you find that you’re curious about trying something new, like introducing medication along the way, we want to make the process even easier.

We’ve brought trained therapists and psychiatric nurse practitioners together under one roof. Whether you’re interested in starting with therapy right now, including medication management to support an established therapeutic relationship elsewhere, or starting both at the same time with our team, we’ve got you covered.

Important to note:

Therapy is an incredible resource in itself, and we never push anyone into medication in your journey with MMBH. This is an optional benefit if you’re specifically looking for additional support.

Choosing the best path for you:

If you’re looking for a space to talk, process, and build new tools, we’d love to support you with therapy. Your sessions are an incredible doorway to new insights about yourself and your life.

If your goals ever shift, medication support can be added later, but we’ll never pressure you in that direction. Your therapist will have relationships with our prescribing providers to personalize the right approach for you if you ever want to bring the medication conversation into your shared space.

Why people love this option:

  • You’ll have a steady, relationship-based space to share with a therapist you can trust
  • You’ll build progress over time and feel safe enough to be authentically you, always
  • You’ll know additional support is available and simple to access if you ever want it

You may know from the start, or over time in your therapy work with us, that you want to introduce medication management to your path. When both avenues of care live under our practice, we can offer a highly personalized experience and work together with your therapist (with your permission). That way, you won’t feel the pressure of any extra coordination on your part to make it all happen.

Why people love this option:

  • You’ll see a shared treatment plan shaped by both emotional and medical insight
  • You’ll have fewer repeated intakes and less back-and-forth communication
  • You’ll be able to work with one care team for appointments, follow-ups, and check-ins

You may be here to focus on medication management. You don’t need to work with a therapist to benefit from partnering with our psychiatric nurse practitioners who will guide you through evaluating your options, monitoring progress, and making thoughtful adjustments at a pace that feels comfortable.

Therapy is always available here if you decide you’d like that support too, but it’s never a requirement. The close proximity of our prescribing team members to our therapists means they can help you with recommendations and getting started if that becomes something you’re interested in over time.

Why people love this option:

  • You’ll feel both intention and thorough evaluation as we create a plan to meet your goals
  • You’ll have care that fits alongside any avenues of support you already have in place
  • You’ll know your provider is looking at mental health in the context of your whole life

Many clients love their therapist (which we love!) and simply want a medication provider who communicates and coordinates with their existing care team. We collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, and medical providers outside our practice so you can access care that’s cohesive and complementary to the care you already trust.

Why people love this option:

  • You’ll know there is consistent communication that keeps everyone aligned
  • You’ll feel genuine support that’s created to strengthen your existing care
  • You’ll be able to count on a team to pivot together if your goals change along the way

What You Can Expect

The natural curiosity that comes with being human means our minds love to ask questions and seek deeper understanding before we dive in. Knowing what to expect in your time with us and how to begin can help you feel empowered about your choice.

Here’s a glimpse into what it’s like to work with our team:

We begin with a conversation

We love to start with a 60-minute intake session where we can learn all about what’s been on your mind, what may feel challenging right now, and what an ideal experience would be like for you. Your provider is there to listen and reflect back what matters most to you so you feel confident in the support you’re getting, whether that includes therapy, medication management, or both.

We create a therapeutic relationship

After your intake session, you’ll begin work with your therapist or medication management provider and establish a pace that feels most comfortable. Sessions feel like a collaborative process where you can ask for what you need while trusting we’re here to guide you with approaches grounded in research and purposeful recommendations.

We grow with you

Every time we meet is an opportunity to build together. Your therapist, medication provider (or both) will check in regularly, tailor support and recommendations to what works best for you, and adjust the plan as your needs evolve. You’ll have a steady space to lean on in the good, challenging, and in-between seasons of life.

Meet Our Team

You’re coming to us with an in-depth story, and we believe your path here should always reflect that. Our team is a diverse group who bring their unique lens and training to their time with you, while coming together around a few underlying values we stand behind as a practice.

You’ll know from your very first conversation that you’re partnering with a provider who values your relationship, respects your lived experience, and meets you with the right balance of compassion and honest reflections. Whether you’re working with a therapist, a prescriber, or both, we want your care to feel connected, attentive, and most of all, human.

It can be helpful to take a look at the areas of mental health that our providers are passionate about, and the wide-array of specialties we have expertise in supporting you with. If nothing resonates, that’s okay too! We’ll help you take that next step in a way that makes sense for what you’re walking through.

Do persistent worries make it hard to focus or relax? We help you recognize patterns, find grounding strategies, and release some of the weight you carry.
